The Beginning in Vancouver
2004
In 2004, Madison Clarke opened a small boutique in rainy Vancouver, driven by a simple vision: to create elegant, high-quality clothing for women who value craftsmanship and authenticity. Though discreet and easy to miss, the boutique quickly became a labour of love, built on timeless femininity and Canadian-made quality.

Resilience and Reinvention
2019
After closing the store during the 2009 financial crisis, Madison held onto her dream. Quietly rebuilding, she adapted through the years, and during the 2019–2021 pandemic, something remarkable happened: the brand found its audience online. Women across Canada discovered Lemarque — transforming it from a local boutique into a national name, rooted in perseverance and grace.

A Legacy Handed Down
2024
Twenty years after its founding, Madison passed the boutique to her daughter in 2024. With a shared vision and a freshly renovated Vancouver store, a new chapter began. While the brand embraces fresh energy, its soul remains unchanged — dedicated to helping every woman feel confident, elegant, and proud in what she wears.
